OnePlus ended software support for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro

OnePlus introduced the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro four years back, and now both models have arrived at a stage where they will not receive any further updates in the future. Offering the last software update to both the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, the brand has officially stated that both devices have come to the end of their life without getting any further software updates.

OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will not receive any further OS updates

The four-year-old OnePlus 8 lineup has officially ended getting further OS updates, as they have reached the end of their software support. The OnePlus 8 series is committed to getting support for three generations of OS updates, and this commitment has now officially been fulfilled. Hence, this tremendous journey of three generations of software updates has ended for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro.

The OxygenOS 13.1.0.587 is the last update for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, and they are currently receiving it

Currently, OnePlus is significantly distributing the latest OxygenOS 13.1.0.587 build version to the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro to users in India. This build integrates the April 2024 Android Security Patch, while the latest build will reach other eligible regions in the coming weeks. This latest build brings several enhancements significantly improving system security and stability for better software updates and final OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro updates.

Moreover, OnePlus has expressed its humble gratitude to the customers of the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro who have supported and stood with the brand in this tremendous four-year journey. The brand also thanked the customers for their participation and feedback in optimizing the OxygenOS experience to ensure a better overall system experience.
