On Android, Google Translate has been upgraded with a really nice efficient and effective change that sees Gboard automatically adjust languages to improve text typing.
When you type the text that isn’t in your device’s native language, this deep synergy steps in.
Google Translate is a free service produced by Google that allows you to quickly translate words, documents, and even webpages from one language to the other. As of April 2021, Google Translate covers 109 languages and translates more than 100 billion words every day.

Here is an elaborate example of how this feature works. Assume you launch Google Translate on a phone with English as the default language and choose Spanish as the language to “Translate from” (on the left). When you enter the text box to begin typing, you’ll discover that Gboard is utilizing the Spanish keyboard

The Translate software switched Gboard to the appropriate language for text entering, displaying the whole character set (as needed). This improves typing accuracy and saves users time by not manually typing into the text and changing Gboard settings.

When necessary, the globe icon shows to switch back. Gboard returns to your default language when you close the translation panel. Previously, after selecting a new language pairing, you’d just type text in the device’s default language.
This functionality is available on a Pixel and Tab S8 (both Android 12) using Google Translate 6.33 with Gboard 11.6. (which is currently in beta). It didn’t show up on phones running 6.30 and 11.5, respectively.
