2023 is a countable year for OnePlus, with its high-end devices such as the OnePlus 11 and the OnePlus Open, and the brand is on the way to announce the upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 12, soon. The reports indicate that the OnePlus 12 will take the floor in December or January. The OnePlus 11 is full of convenient features, but still, it just needed a few features the users felt. Regarding this lack, recent news is indicating that the OnePlus 12 will cover all of its predecessor’s shortcomings. Let’s begin the discussion.

If the reports are to be believed, the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that the OnePlus 12 will deal with all the shortcomings of its predecessors. The new controversy that is blowing in the air is that OnePlus’ flagship device lacks wireless charging support

So it appears that the OnePlus 12 may arrive along with the support for wireless charging at 50W, no less. Also, it may pack USB 3.2 support in its USB-C port and an IR blaster. According to previous leaks and rumors, it was revealed that it will get a ‘High-quality periscope” zoom lens with 3x optical zoom and a 64 MP sensor.

So, these are all the things that the OnePlus 11 unfortunately lacked, and the reports say that all of them being added to the OnePlus 12 will apparently make it one of the most high-end smart devices ever to bear the name of the brand ‘OnePlus.’ However, if the specification list gets expanded, then the price will have to be raised.

Meanwhile, the previous rumors revealed that the forthcoming OnePlus would be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, whereas the memory package will include 16GB or 24GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. It is also powered by a 5,400 mAh battery with support for 100W weird charging. It is expected that it will feature a 6.82-inch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz QHD+ and 2,600 nit peak brightness. It will run on Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 out of the box.
