Google is rolling out a new badge for apps created by an official state and federal government globally, with more than 3,000 apps from 12 countries getting the new stage starting today. Google has been doing a new test regarding this feature for a long time. It will now be even easier to find these official state and federal government-created apps.
This will make it easier to use in the context of apps created by official state and federal governments, which will help users identify official apps. The company has added more than 3,000 government apps from 12 different countries to the users –
- Australia
- Canada
- Germany
- France
- United Kingdom
- Japan
- South Korea
- United States of America
- Brazil
- Indonesia
- India
- Mexico
Along with the government apps mentioned above, you can easily get information about their departments. The word “Gover government” will be written below these apps, meaning it will run under the supervision of the government. If you want to navigate to any of these apps, you will see a badge to the right of the rating.
Next, you can tap the badge to open a message that reads, “Official government – Verify this app is affiliated with a government entity”. After this, you can use the apps of organizations like NASA, FEMA and IRS2Go. This was announced in November last year. If you’re having trouble understanding, the firm has published a help page that may help explain this.
