According to a Canadian carrier, Google is set to launch Android 14 on October 4, and this update will be available for Pixel 4a and above models. Now, those rumours are all but confirmed, as Google’s October 2023 monthly security update is here, and it’s still based on Android 13. This update makes a secure way to the stable version of Android 14.
As per the information, Google has released this month’s Android security update bulletin, which contains all the common vulnerabilities that will be fixed after you install the October 2023 security patch on your Android-based devices.
However, Google published three different patch details that are called/dated – 2023-10-01 security patch, 2023-10-05, and 2023-10-06. The former brings fixes for the 12 framework CVEs, 12 system CVEs, and 2 CVEs that are related to the Google Play system updates. At the same time, the latter includes several fixes for exploits related to specific hardware installations.
Moreover, Google’s October 2023 security update applies to every smartphone running Android OS, while other brands have also released their developed security patches to cover the security issues related to the Android OS released by Google; additionally, patches for their UI-specifics are also included—security issues.
Meanwhile, Google also released the October 2023 Google System Updates, highlighting all the changes included in this month’s release. This fresh update brings a handful of Google Play Store improvements, some system-related enhancements, and more.
