Proper crediting has never been more vital as creators interact, encourage one another, and move the culture forward on Instagram.
This is especially important for disenfranchised and underrepresented producers and collaborators, whose efforts are frequently overlooked.
Therefore, Instagram is introducing improved tags on the app to make it easier for creators to get recognition for their work.
What is the new Enhanced Tags feature on Instagram?
Proper creative credit and acknowledgment serve as a springboard for new discoveries, new possibilities, and economic empowerment. Crediting is an entrance point for many marginalized creators to develop a sustainable career as a creator while resisting cultural appropriation and ensuring the world understands who is leading culture.
The Instagram community has joined together in recent years to promote creators and have developed alternate methods to credit each other, such as tagging one another in posts and photographs, therefore the devs are introducing this feature to Instagram.
