Chinese tech giant, OnePlus had introduced the OnePlus 10R in April last year, which came with a host of exciting features and impressive functionality. This included everything from 150W fast charging and great battery life to the powerful MediaTek Dimensity octa-core processor. But the main question is how many OS updates will the OnePlus 10R get?
Software & Security Updates:
The OnePlus 10R comes with Android 12 update out of the box. Last year, OnePlus announced the software upgradation policy which includes that the OnePlus flagship devices will be getting four major OxygenOS updates along with the five security updates. OnePlus continues to build OxygenOS to provide a better and more intuitive interface.
Unfortunately, the OnePlus 10R is eligible for only three years of major OS updates and four years of security updates. However, as per the company’s commitment, the OnePlus Nord 10R has already received one of the three major OxygenOS updates.
Major OS update:
This means that the OnePlus 10R which arrived with Android 12 has already been upgraded to Android 13-based OxygenOS 13.1. So now the device will be eligible to get the other two major OxygenOS updates till Android 15, or what Google will bring till 2025.
Security Update:
On the other hand, the OnePlus 10R will be receiving four years of security updates after launch which means that this flagship device will get its security updates till 2026.
