We are just a few days away from Samsung’s latest and forthcoming flagship Galaxy series, the Galaxy S24 series, at its popular Galaxy Unpacked 2024. With that, Samsung has now confirmed that the most-awaited Galaxy S24 series is to be unveiled on January 17th, which will be followed by an A-series premium mid-range Galaxy smartphone a few months later, the Galaxy A55. Contrastingly, leaked official renders provide an exclusive look at the design and color options of the upcoming Galaxy A55 model.
The most popular series from Samsung, the A-series, is known for its mid-range premium smartphones, and the upcoming Galaxy A55 is no different. No doubt, Samsung is going to introduce this A-series model with a lot of upgrades and enhancements, including a new premium-looking design with a glorious metallic frame.
Leaked renders, spotted by Android Headlines, the Galaxy A55 will sport three amazing colors, including Awesome Iceblue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy, respectively. Through the renders’ look, it seems like the smartphone will have a similar design to that of the previous model, the Galaxy A54. Thus, it’s clear that the Galaxy A55 will not have any major tweaks.
Simultaneously, official renders further suggest that the Galaxy A55 is confirmed to have a metallic frame instead of an aluminum build, which is entirely flat and has round edges, while the frame is slightly raised around the Volume and Power button areas, which were recently seen in the Galaxy A15 and A25 models, respectively.
The Galaxy A55 will feature a vertical arrangement of lenses in its triple camera setup. At the front section, there’s a small center punch-hole cut out for the selfie shooter. However, the phone looks exactly like the Galaxy A54.
Galaxy A55: Software and Processor
Coming to the most important factor, the software and processor, the Galaxy A55 will feature Samsung’s in-house flagship Exynos 1480 chipset, which is a 4nm-based processor and is powered by AMD-based Radeon graphics technology. The Galaxy A55 will ship with One UI 6.1-based Android 14 out of the box. As of now, there’s no such information about other specifications, but it’s expected that there will not be too many changes.
