Telegram significantly brings several updates that offer a much more interactive and redefined user experience. In a similar context, the widely used instant messaging application has brought group conversations to another level by introducing several features that will provide an interactive communication experience within groups.
With a total of nine interesting new features, Telegram is offering a new way of communicating within groups, which allows group members to perform various changes within the many-to-many communications. All these nine features have been mentioned below.
Group Admins can Now Post Stories:
Through this new feature, within the group conversations, the group admins can now post stories. This update offers a new way of communicating in groups, and the replies from the group members will be highlighted in the group, which will lead to new conversations! Here’s how the group admins can post their stories:
- In order to post a story as a group, just tap on the story icon (+) on your group’s profile and then select Next.
Groups Get Boosts:
Now, groups can add levels through the boosts that they receive from group members or giveaways. With that, higher levels also offer access to several premium features, including voice-to-text and custom emojis when someone sends a message within the group.
Group Appearance:
Groups with higher boosts can now have some unique customization options, which you will find only on Telegram. Through the new Group Appearance feature, you will now be able to change the color and logo of your group’s profile cover, choose a wallpaper of your choice, and set an emoji status, respectively. All these changes will be visible to each person in the group and to those who open your group.
For setting an emoji status, groups can choose from the wide variety of emojis that are made by various Telegram artists, while you can even add anything of your choice next to your group name, from an animated gamepad to a secret eggplant.
Meanwhile, in order to customize your group, just open the group profile, choose Edit, and then Appearance and Emoji.
Group Emoji Packs:
Having higher-level groups allows you to unlock some interesting Telegram Premium features for conversations within the chats. Group admins will now be able to choose any desired pack of custom emoji, and all the group members are permitted to use that particular emoji pack in the group, even after not having the Telegram Premium.
Voice-to-Text Capability:
With a new voice-to-text feature, group members with higher boosts will now be able to enjoy unlimited voice-to-text transcriptions for both the voice and video messages that are sent within the group. As a result, more such features are imminent and will be available soon.
Special Permissions for the Boosters:
Group members who significantly boost the group display a special Booster Badge that increases with each boost sent within the chat. Now admins will be able to apply some restrictions and special permissions for the boosters, allowing them unique rights such as ignoring slow mode and more.
With that, a Telegram Premium subscription allows you to have 4 boosts that you can use to assign to any other group or channel, while you will get 3 additional boosts each time you gift a Telegram Premium.
