Samsung Launches ECG Tracking and Health Monitor BP for Galaxy Watch 6 Users in India

The Korean brand”Samsung” has announced a brand new element for enhancing the Galaxy Watch 6 series experience: blood pressure and electrocardiogram (ECG) tracking.

Now the Galaxy Watch 6 series is getting a new feature for blood pressure and electrocardiogram (ECG) tracking. Notably, the brand, for the very first time, has introduced this feature to the Galaxy Watch 6 in India through an OTA.

With this feature, the brand is offering a seamless facility to the users so that they can easily track their health, support their fitness routines, and follow up on regular checkups. These BP and ECG tracking features belong to the Samsung Health Monitor Application, which has also obtained regulatory clearances from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization. For measuring BP and ECG, users have to download the Samsung Health Monitor Application and then follow the steps mentioned.

The brand has stated that these features are not only limited to the Galaxy Watch 6, but will also be available on the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series. The Galaxy Watch has arrived with a photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensor, which has the ability to record systolic and diastolic pressure and pulse rate and record them in the Samsung Health Monitor Application.

A blood pressure test measures the pressure created in arteries as the heart pumps, while an ECG is a simple test to check the heart’s rhythm and electrical activity to detect irregular rhythms. So basically, the Galaxy Watch 6 series aims to help users build healthier habits.
