Instagram Finally Has A Tablet Layout, But There Is A Twist

Meta-owned Instagram already has many convenient and modern user features as per the requirements. But despite this, there was a drawback that remained on behalf of the company, and users had wanted this facility for a long time, which is about UI for tablets or large screen devices. Finally, it is rolling out its new UI, which now enhances the user’s Instagram experience, even on tablets or other bigger display devices.

But there is a twist: this latest change in big screen look is only available on Galaxy Z Fold devices. Now the users who own Galaxy Z Fold series devices are eligible to enjoy the big screens with better optimization, which offers an advantage of extra screen real estate on bigger screens.

With this new UI of Instagram for large screens, now at the top of this, stories will be shown, below which there will be feeds. And the navigation bar gets shifted at the left side of the screen, with the Home icon at the top, then Magnifying Glass icon, Post Add icon, Reels icon, Profile icon, Heart icon and Message icon. With this new change, the message option for starting the conversation is placed with a navigation bar.

On the other hand, a fixed space has been given for reels, only in that the reel will be seen moving; the rest of the place will remain like a black background. The options that appear while watching reels, including like, comment, share and three-dot menu options, appear on the right side, one below the other.

However, this update rolled out for Galaxy Z Fold devices first, but it is highly expected that the company will soon release this update for each and every large-screen device. Moreover, this update is reaching based on account by account. The noticeable thing is that Google’s Pixel Fold devices still need this update.
