OxygenOS 13.1, ColorOS 13.1, & Realme UI 4.0 Are Triplets

OnePlus, OPPO and Realme are Chinese consumer electronics manufacturers, which is itself a subsidiary of BBK Electronics. These Chinese brands’ smartphones are currently running on the OxygenOS 13.1, ColorOS 13.1, and Realme UI 4.0 custom skin, respectively.

However,  OxygenOS 13.1, ColorOS 13.1, and Realme UI 4.0 share more than a few similarities – they’re effectively the same OS in the form of different “editions.” It means that these User interfaces are Triplets OS of different brands.

Recently, OnePlus, OPPO and Realme are currently rolling out its latest version of UI such as  OxygenOS 13.1, ColorOS 13.1, and Realme UI 4.0 for their flagship smartphone. This feature come with similar following features such as:

  • Smart cross-device
  • Auto-connect
  • Omoji’s functionality
  • TalkBack
  • Zen Space app: Deep Zen & Light Zen
  • Improves Simple mode
  • Championship mode

In August 2022, Google launched the stable Android 13 update for Pixel devices; after that, all the smartphone brands also rolled out their new user interface for their devices. Meanwhile, OxygenOS 13, ColorOS 13, and Realme UI 4.0 come with similar things, including Quick Settings, Notification Center, Settings page changes, Always-On Display, Shelf feature, O-haptics, Charging animation, and more.

Quick Settings/Notification Center:

The OxygenOS 13, ColorOS 13, and Realme UI 4.0 introduced Quick Settings/Notification Center, which is inspired by iOS and Android 13. They are totally similar to each other, adding larger pill-shaped Wi-Fi and Bluetooth toggles and a big media player in the header. Beyond that, the traditional options have been kept, including the circular Quick Settings toggle.

Settings Page Layout:

After the Android 13 adoption, all the above-mentioned three OS came with a number of changes that have been made in the Settings menu along with the About device menu. Now, all the OS’s About phone pages are totally similar to each other; at the top, up the interface, the Official version section and other sections contain device information such as Device name, storage, Model, Processor, Battery, and more.

Always-On Display:

Android 13 Adds Bitmoji to offer more Always-On Display animations as well as comes with the same Insight Always-On Display, with more personalized Always-On Display settings available on OnePlus, Realme, and OPPO. Moreover, Now all come with a similar Portrait Silhouette Always-On Display, with more drawing tools and line colors available.

Moreover, these Chinese brands bring some exciting features in the user interface Always-on Display, which takes care of both music player as well as food delivery. Both the amusing acts are combined in your magical performance.

Bloatware App and Games:

With the ColorOS 13 and Realme UI 4.0, respective companies introduce the several Bloatware application like hot game and hot apps, unwanted pre-installed software applications on the devices. Recently, with the OxygenSO 13.1 also add some hot game and hot app with the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite.

Conclusion:

OnePlus, Realme and OPPO need to stop trying to claim OxygenOS, Realme UI, and ColorOS as separate builds. While there may be under-the-hood differences, at least functionally, all three are now identical.
