Will The Realme Emulate The 5 Years Updates Strategy Like OnePlus & OPPO?

OnePlus and OPPO recently expanded their update policy for OxygenOS and ColorOS, respectively. To guarantee four major Android upgrades and five years of security patches starting from 2023 for select flagship models. Now here the question is how Realme, an emerging Chinese smartphone brand, is known for integrating power with style by focusing on critical user needs. Will Realme follow the same update strategy as OnePlus and OPPO?
Nowadays, Realme is rolling out an Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 update for its eligible smartphones across various regions. Recently Realme 9i 5G and Realme Q5 5G smartphones have received an Android 13 update.
Realme UI 4.0, Realme’s latest Android-based operating system, is designed to be natural and vivid with its brand-new Aquamorphic Design theme colors for better visual convenience. Realme UI 4.0 includes a range of impressive features such as Smart Always-On Display, Auto Pixelate, Shadow-Reflective Clock, Quantum Animation Engine 4.0, Large folders, Dynamic Computing Engine, and more.
Is Realme Following The Same Updates Strategy As OnePlus & OPPO?
As we know, Realme, OnePlus, and OPPO are Chinese consumer electronics manufacturers; they themselves are subsidiaries of BBK Electronics. The smartphones from the Chinese brand are currently running on Realme UI 4.0, OxygenOS 13, and ColorOS 13 custom skins, respectively.
As we know, Realme UI 4.0, OxygenOS 13, and ColorOS 13 adopt similar features in different OS. This means that these user interfaces are triplet OS of different brands. Hence, we can expect Realme to follow the same update strategy as OnePlus and Oppo.
OnePlus & OPPO Update Policy:
OnePlus and OPPO announced a new OS update policy, which includes a promise to guarantee ‘four major OS updates along with five years of security patches’ for users on select flagship models starting in 2023.
Now, Realme will also announce the same update policy, which will promise four major Android OS updates and five years of security patches on selected flagship models starting in 2023.
