It is important because it guarantees proper and safe communication within Google Chat, an essential tool for teamwork and productivity. Among the many features offered by the moderation tool is the ability to read all reports linked to a message, including previous resolutions, deleted automatically after 180 days.

In addition, it makes it easier to examine the discussion transcript and edit the history of a reported message, providing details about the type of conversation, participants, space managers, rules, and other aspects. Thanks to this extensive information, admins and moderators can make well-informed judgments based on organizational regulations, such as removing certain messages or entire spaces. If needed, they can also include remarks in reports for upcoming audits.

To better serve all Google Workspace users, the moderation tool now has a page for managing Gmail messages that have been quarantined. Super admins have direct access to this feature here. They can locate it in the Admin portal under Apps > Google Workspace > Moderation. This feature will be gradually rolled out starting on January 22, 2024, lasting 15 days.
