OnePlus May Launch Its First Foldable Phone On August 29

In the near future, the OnePlus may be ready to inaugurate its very first Foldable smartphone to the global market on August 29, 2023. The rumour was blown in the air that a new launch of the OnePlus, known as OnePlus V Fold, will be expected. However, recent reports indicate that the company has decided on a new name, One Plus Open, for its upcoming launch. 

In the open launch event of OnePlus 11, the company teased about its upcoming foldable series. The phone will be available almost one month after the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 release. 

According to the rumours, the upcoming OnePlus Foldable flagship phone provides a notebook-like form factor which is already available in the Google Pixel Fold. Also, whether the OnePlus will launch its Flip Folding phone has yet to be confirmed. Because OnePlus’s brother brand Oppo which is under the BBK Group, already has its flip phone known as Oppo Find N2 Flip. 

OnePlus Foldable Specification: Rumour 

Rumour suggests that the OnePlus may support a 6.3-inch AMOLED cover screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a 7.8-inch foldable AMOLED display. The company provides this flagship phone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with 16 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The battery power of 4,800mAh as well. 

Moreover, the company offers a triple camera setup of 48 MP main, 48 MP ultra-wide and 64 MP telephoto lens. And a 32 MP front camera as well. However, all this is based on rumours; the rest of the correct and complete information about it will be available after its official announcement. 

On the other hand, a well-known tipster @MaxJmb has revealed the OnePlus 12 would go live in China sometime in December. With this, we can expect a global launch by late January 2024 or early February 2024, similar to the OnePlus 11.
