Chrome 117 Eliminate Annoying “All Bookmarks” Prompt

Google is providing the latest update to Chrome on Desktop, by which the brand is eventually removing the annoying “All Bookmarks prompt.” Along with Chrome 117, the desktop browser is adding “All Bookmarks” at the end of the Bookmarks Bar. It’s pretty fair to say that the unneeded reminder has now been removed.

However, Google’s Material You for Chrome on Mac, Windows, and Linux is not widely available yet. Also, the latest version of Chrome 117 has brought other elements of the redesign. Now, the user’s list of bookmarks has finally been attached to the persistent or sticky Side Panel.

The latest Google Chrome update has arrived with its identification build number, which is 117.0.5938.132, so the users can easily be able to find the upgraded Chrome version, which removes the ‘All Bookmark’ prompt. Apart from this, the update includes 10 security fixes, such as an exploit that exists in the wild.

The brand ‘Google‘ is taking its step towards increasing the functionality of that UI element, with Search, History, and Reading List also placed there. Now, hitting the ‘All Bookmarks’ would just prompt the users to ‘Open Side Panel to see All Bookmarks.’

A post on X, formerly Twitter, shared by @evowizz, stated that the Side Panel in Chrome is such an annoying feature, as the users have already experienced it. And continue confessing that they never liked it from the start, but now, finally, they are being forced to use it, and it is forced to use the Side Panel while reducing the size of the Bookmarks Bar.
