In the meantime, the Android associated with cars significantly helps deliver a safe, connected and entertaining driving experience. Simultaneously, the company has decided to roll out several updates and new capabilities to Android Auto and the cars having Google’s built-in system. 

Get The Real-Time Battery Status With Google Maps

To start, electric cars with Android Auto support can now seamlessly share their real-time battery information with Google Maps, initially beginning with the Ford Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning in the coming months. At the same time, the company will expand it to other eligible cars in the coming future. This new capability will help EV users get the perfect and most suitable information about their battery status to reach their planned destination through Google Maps. Not only this, it will even suggest all the charging stops on your route, with an estimate of the charging time based on your EV. 

On Cars With Google Built-In: Easily Plan Your Trips  

For the cars with Google’s built-in system, Google has introduced a new feature that will significantly help plan your trips. Making it easier, share your planned trip on Google Maps with their cars with Google built-in, which will help you seamlessly get started from planning to navigating. 

More Features To Stay Connected And Entertained 

In addition, Google has also added a few features that will help you stay connected and entertained at the same time in the cars with Google built-in. In cars like Polestar and Volvo, users can now access the Google Chrome Browser, with more cars to be involved by the end of this year. 

Furthermore, following public demand, Google has finally added the Weather Channel app for cars with Google built-in, helping you to peacefully get for outdoor trips without worrying about weather conditions, as it will keep you updated regarding the changing weather conditions along with hour-based forecasts, follow-me alerts, and Trip View radar, respectively straight from your car’s dashboard. 

What’s Coming Next?

As Google continues to partner with more brands to extend more useful services to car users, the company has already begun expanding other functionalities, including the Digital car key availability. Google has been rolling this capability to Volvo cars, expanding the feature to more phones and cars over the coming future. The digital car keys will allow users to easily unlock, lock and start their cars with supported Android phones while offering the capability to securely share the digital keys with their family and friends on their Android or iOS devices, respectively.
