As mentioned, POCO is not committed to the software updates, and for a long period of time, the brand has been offering two software updates and three years of security patch updates to its devices. The brand doesn’t seem to change this commitment, but it’s expected that the brand might make changes in its Android update policy and could offer better software update promises to its devices.
In terms of the software update promise, POCO has offered the same two major OS updates and three years of security patch updates to the POCO F5 and the F5 Pro. POCO provides the minimum software support to all of its devices, regardless of their pricing category, and similar is the case with the POCO F5 and the F5 Pro.
Since POCO has launched both devices with Android 13 out of the box, both the POCO F5 and the F5 Pro will get 2 major OS updates until Android 15, and they will receive up to 3 years of security patches until 2025, respectively.
