Google Pixel 8a Receives the FCC Approval, Could Be Launched Soon

  • The new Google Pixel 8a has just received the approval from the FCC, pointing to be launched soon.
  • The Pixel 8a has been spotted on the FCC certification with G6GPR model number.
  • It’s expected that Google might introduce the Pixel 8a during its upcoming Google I/O 2024 event.

Numerous rumours have been spreading all across the internet regarding the new Pixel 8a, with that, now the smartphone has been in the limelight while the customers have been wondering about the arrival of the Pixel 8a, as the phone has been spotted on the FCC certification.

When a new smartphone is ready to be launched within the market, it needs to be approved by several approval regulators, including the FCC certification. As for years, big brands like Google and Apple follows a tradition that if any brand chooses to advertise its upcoming phone, first off they need to get their phone approved through the US FCC regulators, which must include a short disclaimer: the brand is not permitted to sell the phone until it is approved by the FCC regulators.

Well, Google, along with several other brands, significantly gave their new phones to the FCC regulators ahead of their phone’s debut in the market. In contrast, within the FCC certification, four new Google phones have been given approval by the FCC, coming with model numbers G8HHN, GKV4X, G6GPR, and G575D, respectively. We assume that all these phones are variants of each other, suggesting that all four Google models are relatively similar to each other, albeit with slight variations in certain countries or carriers.

With that, we have headed towards the mid-year summer when Google usually introduces its budget-focused phones, while the FCC approval provides a clear hint that the Pixel 8a’s launch is approaching soon. The phone has been spotted on the FCC certification with the G6GPRmodel number, which indicates that the listings are for the new Google Pixel 8a.

It’s expected that the rumored Pixel 8a might feature a 6.1-inch display panel, while the phone is expected to be powered with the Google Tensor G3 chip; however, there’s nothing official at this point in time, and Google is expected to announce the latest mid-range Pixel 8a during its Google I/O 2024 event, which is scheduled to be held on May 14th.
