WhatsApp New Reaction Feature From is rolling out the Media Viewing Screen, Currently Available to Some Beta Testers

WhatsApp has always sought to enhance its users’ experience, and that’s the most prominent reason why this instant messaging application is popular. It offers some convenient yet useful features aimed at creating an enhanced environment for users. In a similar series, WhatsApp appears to be currently rolling out a new reaction feature from the image viewing screen, which is available to some beta testers.

What Is New Reaction Feature? Users will be able to quickly react to the media with the new reaction feature

As spotted by the WABetaInfo, the latest WhatsApp beta for Android with a 2.24.10.7 build version, WhatsApp is rolling out a new reaction feature that looks like a small reaction (emoji) icon and is placed at the bottom of the screen just beside the reply bar. This latest reaction icon is added to the media viewing screen, allowing users to quickly react to the image, eliminating the need to leave the screen. Meanwhile, it’s important to note that the new reaction icon is not restricted to the image viewing screen and is also present within the video player.

Meanwhile, it seems like WhatsApp, through the reaction functionality, wishes to provide users with a quick way to react to images or videos without having to leave the current screen. This will also allow users to save significant time without leaving their focus on the media, as they can quickly react to the media in just a small fraction of a second and get a much more enhanced user experience

In contrast, earlier users were certainly required to head back to their chat screen to react to the media they received, but this is going to change with this new capability. Moreover, the new reaction feature from the image viewing screen is currently available to some beta testers only, while this latest functionality will reach more people over the next few weeks.
