Next OnePlus Pad Completed BIS Certification, India Launch Confirmed

OnePlus already released its first Pad early this year, and now the brand is busy constructing a new larger-screen device again. As per the reports, it is rumored that OnePlus is in the works as its second tablet may be named “OnePlus Pad Go” offering from the Chinese tech company. But the company seems to be preparing to introduce something else with its next new tablet.

All these things are being speculated because a well-founded tipster @1NormalUsername spotted a post on the OnePlus forum quoting the two new build codes, which are OPD2304 and OPD2305. In which the first one is highly expected to be the OnePlus Pad Go, and the other one is not defined yet. However, with a post with only one screenshot, we can not accept that it is a OnePlus Pad Go because the post was deleted immediately after being spotted, which could not be detected again.

The tipster also spotted the same build number, OPD2304, on the BIS website (Bureau of Indian Standards). But it is inevitable that both of the build numbers, OPD2304 OPD2305, are tablets because both join the list of “tablet” products on the official government website. The build numbers registered recently, on August 16, 2023. Notably, they are placed alongside the OPD2203, the model number of the brand’s first bigger-screen device, the OnePlus Pad.

The name “OnePlus Pad Go” is just a fantasy; its name can also be changed later, and this time, the brand may introduce Wi-Fi and Cellular variants of the tablet, as is usually the custom with more significant screen devices. It is also expected that the company with these two new models could target a lower-range segment and thus compete against the other affordable tablet devices. The thing to note is that till now, the tech company has not officially told anything from its side, so any assumptions can not be considered solid evidence.
