Google Messages will also release a 3-second “selfie GIF”

Google Messages will soon roll out “Selfie GIFs” to Pixel devices. Users will be able to create this through a selfie camera in which you will have the option to create all types of GIFs from animated GIFs. This feature has not yet been made available and will soon be released by the company through the rollout.

What Is selfie GIF In Google Messages?

According to 9to5google, this selfie GIF is currently being released only on Google Messages Beta Channel version 20240506_01_RC00. It will soon be released widely. To access it, open the conversation and long-press the camera icon in the text field. First, you have to press and hold the click option for a long time.

Only then will you see a gallery icon and a circular preview in the center of your screen with suggestions to “send a smooch” and “draw a heart”. A circular countdown will begin, letting you know you made your GIF.

You can also switch between the front and rear-facing cameras for this GIF. You can also use the Google Selfie GIF in your chats by recording a 3-second animated video. Moreover, you can also record a Selfie GIF by Tapping on a gesture in a conversation.

Apart from this feature, Google has also rolled out the Google Messages expressive feature, Voice Moods, and Audio recorder, which were redesigned only for some users. Interestingly, most beta users still need to make these features available. Hopefully, the company will make it available soon.
