WhatsApp is Working on a New Ability to Clear The Unread Message Count on Android 

WhatsApp has always aimed to enhance the user experience by providing more advanced and convenient features and other relevant functionalities. Meanwhile, WhatsApp is now working on a new feature that allows users more control over their notification settings. 


According to the reports shared by WABetaInfo, spotted with the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.11.13 update, WhatsApp is currently working on a new capability to allow users to clear their unread message counts whenever they open the application. Users will also automatically be able to reset their unread message notifications every time they use WhatsApp. 


Clear the unread message count every time the app opens:

Through this capability, users can easily manage all their new messages, significantly reducing the clutter created by unread message counts, forcing a fresh start while launching the app each time. Meanwhile, users will now users will now have a more effective approach toward their unread messages, as this new feature will automatically clear their unread message count. 

With this new ability to reset the unread message count every time the app is opened, it will be easier for users to identify and prioritize new messages while also ensuring that users address the most recent conversations immediately. However, the new ability to clear the unread message count is currently under development and will be available in future updates.
