 Is Realme GT 6T Waterproof?

Following the trend, several Android partners have already started offering water-repellent properties within their devices, and with that, this has now become a global mark. These water-repellent properties are denoted by an IP rating. Today, almost all the Android partners have started infusing IP ratings in their devices, while Realme is no exception. The brand has just unveiled its latest powerful mid-range model, the Realme GT 6T in the market, which has significantly arrived with several impressive features and specifications. One of them is the IP rating. Well, here is the biggest question- is the latest Realme GT 6T waterproof?

Realme GT 6T Waterproof

Nowadays, several Android partners have started to infuse an IP rating within their models, ensuring more protection. IP rating or the Ingress Protection rating is the industry-level standard mark that significantly clarifies that the device has been tested to withstand two kinds of ingress solid and liquid, respectively. The solid ingress refers to fine dust or sand particles, while the liquid ingress is water.

On the flip side, the IP rating carries two digits, the first digit following the IP rating is for solid ingress which can range from 0-6, while the second digit is for liquid ingress, which is water and it ranges from 0-8. Also, the higher the IP rating, the higher the protection. Meanwhile, Realme has offered an IP65 rating to its latest Realme GT 6T model, which certainly makes it dust and water-resistant, here’s the entire explanation of why-

Realme GT 6T has been infused with an IP65 rating, where the first digit is 6, which signifies that the device is capable to withstand fine dust and sand particles, making it dust resistant, while on the flip side, the second digit is 5, which tells that the phone is only capable to withstand water splashes, which makes it water resistant but not waterproof. This means that the newest Realme GT 6T is both dust and water-resistant.
