Sony Inzone H5 Review: Is It Worth Buying in 2024?

Sony has recently launched its newest wireless gaming headphones, the Sony Inzone H5, in the Indian market. It’s the most recent gaming headphones from Sony, while the brand has introduced several wireless gaming headphones within its gaming-admired Inzone series, and the new Inzone H5 is the most recent one. In this article, we present our insights and review of the Sony Inzone H5 Review.

At the same time, Sony has collaborated with Fnatic, an esports team from the UK, to develop and design its most popular wireless gaming headphones. After testing the Sony Inzone H5 wireless headphones, here’s my detailed review of the latest wireless gaming headphone.

The Sony Inzone H5: A Detailed Review

Design

Unlike other wireless gaming headphones available on the market, the new Sony Inzone H5 comes in a subtle design, featuring two color options, including black and white, respectively, that certainly match the aesthetics of the headphones. With a very subtle and minimalistic design, there’s Sony branding over the headphones.

At the same time, the new wireless gaming headphones come with a plastic build that significantly helps to prevent finger imprints on them. These headphones are very light in weight, just 260 grams, allowing gamers to use them for longer gaming sessions without having any pain issues. With regards to comfort, the headphones are padded with oval-shaped nylon ear cups that offer comfortable cushioning for the ears. Also, there’s plenty of cushioning on the top of the headphones, which makes it comfortable for you to wear the device for a longer period of time without getting pain in your head.

Ports and controls

The headphones on the left side feature a non-detachable microphone that can be immediately activated with just a flip. Coming to the ports and controls, it has a 3.5mm port and a USB Type-C port, while the volume controls are placed on the left side. You can easily adjust the volume even during your gaming sessions with the conveniently placed volume controls. Additionally, on the right side, you will receive a power button and a game chat button, respectively.

Features and Performance

The new Sony Inzone H5 offers both wireless and wired connectivity options. It has a USB transmitter that allows you to plug in your headphones into the USB port for wireless connection with your device, and you can even use the headphones through a wired connection using cables. However, there’s no Bluetooth connectivity support, so you only have the option to connect the headphones through the USB transmitter if you wish to use the headphones wirelessly. On the flip side, if you are using the H5 headphones with your PC, then you need to download the Inzone Hub so that you can easily manage the presets, EQ settings, dynamic range adjustments, and various other settings.

In terms of performance, the new Sony Inzone H5 offers crisp and rich-quality sound without any breakage, which is only possible with its 40mm drivers. These headphones also consist of housing ducts so that you can get a more powerful bass that offers an amazing and realistic audio experience while gaming. With the 360-degree spatial sound support, you can easily be able to hear every single step of your enemies, especially in games where the battle is fought for either a win or a defeat. This new headphone is also equipped with an AI-powered bidirectional boom microphone that certainly helps gamers entirely eliminate background noise, which worked excellently for me.

Battery Power

In terms of battery power, Sony’s Inzone H5 is said to offer about 28 hours of battery power. While in my testing, I was seamlessly able to get battery backup for about a week of gaming sessions, just on a single charge. With that, the headphones even feature fast charging support, which can charge the headphones for about three hours of battery life with just ten minutes of charging.

Price and Availability

Coming to the price point, the Sony Inzone H5 wireless gaming headphones are priced at Rs. 15,990, featuring two stunning color options, including black and white, respectively. You can easily get your hands on this gaming headphone, which is currently available on several e-commerce websites like Amazon, Flipkart, and your nearest authorized Sony Store.

Is the Sony Inzone H5 Worth Buying in 2024?

After analyzing Sony’s Inzone H5 wireless gaming headphones, I think that Sony has done a great job by adding the right amount of features to these headphones. From immersive sound quality during gaming sessions and longer battery life to providing great comfort and subtle design, the Sony Inzone H5 could be considered a worthy option to buy in 2024, and most prominently, it can seamlessly work on both your PC and PS5 as well.
