WhatsApp Will Soon Let You Login Through Email For Account Verification

Over 1 billion people connect with businesses on meta-messaging apps every week. Many of these conversations are made possible by the thousands of developers who create innovative and engaging experiences on Messenger, WhatsApp, and others. In recent developments, the company has focused on improving account verification methods.

According to the information, WhatsApp for Android is bringing a new feature to protect your account using an email address alongside a mobile number. This new security feature is now reaching more testers on the latest version of WhatsApp beta for Android, indicating its imminent release on the stable channel in the coming months.

WhatsApp is rolling out a new beta update with build number 2.23.24.10 so that users can easily identify the update by this build number. However, the firmware is in the beta stage and is only available to some beta users. And soon, social media technology will make this update available to everyone. Interested users can get this update through the latest Google Play Beta program.

In the Account section, there is a new section called “Email Address” that allows users to add an email address to their WhatsApp account for added security. If you entered the beta program and want to know, please go to WhatsApp Settings > Account > Email Address, where you can configure this feature. In particular, the email verification system is an optional feature that adds an extra layer of security to users’ accounts.

Apart from the email verification system, WhatsApp is also working on other features, like the ability to create alternate profiles, which will allow users to configure a different photo and name that will be visible to contacts who can’t see their primary profile information.
