WhatsApp is gearing up to roll out a new update for enhancing the user’s file sending as a document experience. With this new update, the company will offer a new feature by which the users will get the ability to send images and videos as documents to preserve their original quality. This will make the sending process of documents more easy.

However, for now, the company is rolling out this feature in the beta program for iOS users, which is holding up its version number, which is v23.23.1.74. The iOS users can easily get this beta update through the TestFlight beta Program. On the other hand, the company already rolled out the same feature for the Android device a couple of weeks ago, along with its version number, v2.23.19.3, so interested Android users can get this feature through the Google Play Beta Program.

With this feature, the users will get the ability to choose pictures and videos from their gallery as documents. Now, by sending a photo or video as a document, users will finally be able to secure the original quality of images by sending it without compression or quality loss. The company also mentioned that the users will be able to share documents up to 2GB in size in the future update.

Once the company rolls out the feature widely, the users will get a new “Gallery” option while sharing photos and videos as documents. With this feature, the users will get a dedicated option to select photos and videos directly from their gallery and send them as documents.

As mentioned above, for now, the feature is in the developing stage and only available for some of the lucky beta testers. And soon it will be available to all.
