Instagram Might Introduce Some Improvements Within Its Collections Feature.

  • Instagram is reportedly working on expanding its Collections feature.
  • The newest public collections will allow users to share their collections on their Instagram profiles.
  • Users can choose whether they want to show their collections publicly or just keep them private.

Indeed, Instagram is the most popular and widely used social media application, with over billions of users engaged through the platform. The Meta-owned social media service has always tried to push certain crucial and intuitive functionalities, which allow users to actively use it to share their thoughts, moments, and much more with their friends or followers. At the same time, Instagram is reportedly planning to introduce a new capability that will significantly allow users to share their collections on their profile, either publicly or privately.

According to a report shared by a tipster, Alessandro Paluzzi, on X, as usual, Instagram is reportedly working on the public collections, and it’s here with yet another update.  The screenshot reveals that users can now add their public collections to their Instagram profile, making them visible to everyone who views their profile.  On the other hand, while opening the collection, you can choose who you want to see it.

This newest addition will allow users to actively participate in the collections and encourage them to share their hobbies and interests. However, it’s just an experiment for now, and it would be very interesting to see when Instagram will roll out this feature soon and how interactively it will work for all.

In addition to adding the collections to your Instagram profile, you can also choose whom you want to see them. While the feature is still under development, after making your collection, you can name your collection, and by tapping on the Visible to option, you will be prompted a dialog box that says, “W can view this collection? including two options, namely, everyone and only you, respectively.

Other than that, you can also allow your collection to be collaborative. In other words, it’s basically a collaborative collection feature that allows you to share your collections with your friends, allowing them to join your collection.
