Recently, BGMI has updated a report on their official website which declared a totally new anti-cheat and ban policy for players. Several strict measures have been taken and as per the official report, the developers have also banned over 2.5 million accounts that were accused of cheating.

As stated by the developers, here is BGMI latest anti-cheat and ban policy as stated by the developers:
The developers have permanently banned 2,519,692 accounts and temporarily banned 706,319 accounts. The latest measures that the devs took against cheaters and hackers are listed below:
1. Stronger Cheat Detection and Banning Mechanism
The systems continue to evolve as devs bring near real-time ways to detect cheats and ban users from employing illegal means.
2. Permabans
As of now, devs have shifted all bans to permanent bans. There’s no room for a second chance now.
3. Manually verify and ban any accounts that use or promote illegal programs among high-rankers.
Devs are monitoring accounts that used or promoted illegal programs among high-rankers in real-time. If there’s any illegal program used found, they are banning them permanently immediately.
4. Blocking YouTube channels
Devs are monitoring in real-time in YouTube for any channels that promote illegal programs, and if found, they are blocking the channels immediately while working with YouTube.
Based on such measures taken, the number of accounts that are being banned has significantly increased compared to before and resulted in a decrease in the number of reports made in the game. These are the warnings as stated by the devs for players who are trying to use dubious means:
- If you are using cheat tools, you will get banned eventually, if not immediately.
- Don’t share your accounts with anyone. Apart from the obvious implication of losing your social media access, it might be used to test cheat tools, and your account will be banned.
- Doesn’t matter if you have spent UC, or have not been detected earlier, or if you have a social media presence, if you cheat or use cheating tools (or have used in the past) you will be handed a permanent ban.
