Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 May Arrive With Nuvia CPU Cores

It was already reported that Qualcomm will release its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in October 2023. But if rumours are to be believed, Qualcomm has already started its preparation for its other flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. Also, it is expected to release in 2024. However, we are very far away from the release date, but some information has come out about it by well-wishers that the chipset will be based on TSMC’s new 3 nm process node.

The other information regarding the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is that it will pack Nuvia’a Phoenix cores as well. According to the reports of Digital Chat Station, the chipset will arrive with two Phoenix cores as well as six Phoenix M cores. But now it remains to be seen whether the name of these cores will remain the same or change because Nuvia has given Qualcomm an official right or license for its technology.

For more information, those who don’t know about these cores, let us tell you that based on CPU cores, phoenix cores are a modern generation of ARM owned by Nuvia. It is also rumoured that the upcoming flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will arrive with the manufacture of TSMC’s N3E process. And this is the second redundancy of TSMC’s 3 nm process node, which will help make more cores properly with less production cost.

The other interesting leak roaring in the air is that Apple’s A17 chip will also be based on a 3nm process by TSMC but with the first iteration N3.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is expected to bring lots of noteworthy performance for enhancing the device’s performance. However, it has yet to be made clear which of the smart device will be blessed with this latest chipset, but Samsung, Oppo, and Xiaomi devices are most likely to get this chipset.
