Android Auto is a smart driving app from Google that helps you stay focused, connected and entertained with the Google Assistant. With a simple interface, large buttons, and decisive voice actions, Android Auto is designed to make it easy to use your favourite apps in the car while driving. The US tech giant has confirmed that Android Auto will soon get the communication app to deliver a seamless experience.
Android Auto Communication Apps
According to the September 2023 feature drop, Google is preparing to bring new communication apps to Android Auto soon. With the addition of Zoom and Webex by Cisco, you can start and join conference calls via audio and browse meeting schedules from your car screen. Plus, active calls are managed through the Android Auto application, so you can mute your microphone when needed and end the call when it’s over.
Notably, the feature is a work in progress, which means it is in the beta stage, and as part of that process, it may only be available to some Android Auto users after launch. This new feature requires a data connection, a phone with Android 11 or later, and a car compatible with Android Auto.
September 2023 Feature Drop:
On the other hand, the quarterly Android feature drop brings several improvements to your Fitbit or Google Fit activity and sleep data in Personal Routines, Assistant at a Glance widget, Android Auto applications, Google Assistant, Image Q&A visual content creation on Lookout: Google Wallet Pass photo import and more improvements.
