Realme follows the core philosophy of the brand, which is providing quality products at affordable prices. We used the Realme Buds Wireless for around a month and even compared it to more expensive counterparts, and if we have to sum up our experience, in short, it’s fantastic!
Design and Build Quality
In today’s time, Wireless earphones are becoming very popular. However, for now, the Realme has taken on wireless earphone in an affordable form — neckband-style earphones. The headset has a flexible neckband with metal modules at the ends, short cables that lead to the earbuds, and the plastic earbuds themselves which makes it feel premium. We quite liked the yellow-and-black color scheme of our review unit. The design is simple and the build quality is decent. The device is light at just 30g and comfortable to wear and use for long hours at a stretch.
The Realme Buds Wireless earphones are powered by 11.2mm drivers, with the latest Bluetooth 5 connectivity and support for the SBC and AAC codecs. The earphones have a claimed battery life of 12 hours on a single charge and are said to offer 100 minutes of listening time on a 10-minute charge when the battery is drained. We were able to get around 8-9 hours of use in our testing, while a full charge of the headset took a little under 3 hours to complete.
The sound quality it offered was one of the best for its price point and. In fact, the Realme Buds Wireless punches well above its weight and can even go head to head against more expensive alternatives. Realme prioritizes bass in all of its earphones and the same can be said here too. The sound is punchy and has the oomph to it. Vocals are clear too. Call quality, on the other hand, isn’t the best as the mic picks up some ambient noise, so the other party may find it hard to hear you at times. This is only in noisy environments. You should be fine taking calls indoors.
