Google Discover To Soon Get Air Quality Card On Android & iOS

The Google app gives you more ways to search on Android and iOS devices. In a recent development, Google Discover is bringing the helpful Air Quality (AQI) card feature to Android smartphones and iPhone devices.

Air quality standards have been made in different countries to measure air quality. These indices measure the air quality in the country and tell whether the amount of nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, and sulfur dioxide in the air exceeds the norms the World Health Organisation set.

Google Discover Air Quality (AQI) card feature

With the Google Discover Air Quality (AQI) card feature, users can look at the daily ambient air report without having to open a dedicated application. Air quality card provides Air quality from your current location similar to the Weather. Google Discover will show the AQI card under the Customize section with the statement – “Air quality from your current location.”

Besides this, Google Discover shows a carousel of mini cards for particular activities, including, Finance, Sports, and Weather.

  • Finance: This card tells you about the stock prices and market trends of the industries you follow.
  • Sports: Updates on events from the teams you follow
  • Weather: Conditions in your current location without opening a dedicated application.

The upcoming feature was spotted in WhatsApp’s beta version (v14.32) for Android. However, today’s App Store listing has already revealed its appearance.

How To Add Air Quality (AQI) card on the Google feed:

  • Open the Google App
  • Scroll the card right and tap on the pencil icon
  • Turn on the toggle Air quality
