WhatsApp Working On Schedule Group Calls Feature

Meta-owned Whatsapp recently rolled out its latest beta update for users’ convenience. Through this update, the company provides the facility to schedule calls in group chats, enhancing the user’s live calling experience. Moreover, for now, this new feature is in its developing stage.

It was reported that the company is preparing to bring something new related to group video calls. And now this latest beta update has arrived with its identification build number 2.23.17.7 version.

What’s New In This Update:

With this new update, the users are eligible to plan in advance when to call in a group and which participants to add for the group call. After planning the call, all the participants will be notified about upcoming group calls. Users can also choose the call subject with the scheduled call date and time. As per convenience, this update offers to select the type of group call; for instance, select between video or audio calls.

Once planning a group call, then in a group chat, an event will automatically be added and also notified at least 15 min before starting the group call to whoever decided to join it.

However, this update is in its beta stage, and interested users can get it from Google Play Beta Program. And it is only available to some lucky beta testers. For scheduling group calls, users within their groups have to tap the call button, and the feature will appear if it is enabled for your account.

This new feature will enhance the group calls experience and help improve the process of planning and coordinating discussions. Through this feature, participants will know when the call will come, so they are ready to receive it at the scheduled time.
