The highly awaited and most anticipated smartphone series, the Pixel 8 lineup has been recently introduced by Google at the Made by Google event. Sporting the latest Android 14 operating system and Google Tensor G3 chipset, the Pixel 8 series is brought up with a host of interesting features and enhancements. However, being the most upgraded series, several Pixel users have reported the green line issue on their devices.
After the Pixel 7 Pro, Google’s most awaited smartphone, the Pixel 8 Pro has become the victim of the current famous green line issue. It seems like not only older devices, but the green line has adversely affected the newer devices. Unlike Samsung and OnePlus smartphones, now some Pixel users have been reported that they are facing the green line issue with their Pixel 8 Pro model.
A Pixel 8 Pro user shares a report, which says that the green line occurs immediately when the user switches on the device. Sharing a post, the user mentioned, “Thank God, I was at the store when this thing happened”. However, the exact reason was not mentioned by the user but the user was offered a replacement direct from the store at the moment.
Meanwhile, the users reporting the green line issue state that they aren’t able to run their devices due to the sudden occurrence of the green line on their phone’s display. However, the display issue could be associated with a hardware problem or might be a software issue as seen in the case of Samsung and OnePlus devices.
Furthermore, as mentioned above, the user got a free replacement soon after the green line occurred in his Pixel smartphone, so it can be presumed that unlike OnePlus, who is offering a screen replacement to its users after facing the green line issue, Google might also offer screen replacement if the users encounter green line on their latest Pixel device.
