Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 is the next major version of OnePlus’ mobile operating system, and it promises to bring a host of new features and improvements to users. However, it seems to have some issues.
The Android 14 beta 2 is now available for OnePlus 11 devices, but it doesn’t give any new features of what’s to come in the final release later this year. If you’re looking to update to the latest beta release of Android 14, you’ll want to be cautious, as the update broke the Outgoing Calling facility for some OnePlus 11 owners.
According to TechiBee, OnePlus is running Android 14, but wait, it brings nothing, and that’s the worst – no innovation, just disappointment. As per reports, the Android 14 Beta 2 update has left OnePlus devices without proper calling for some. If you call any number, they automatically disconnect the call, and you will see the call ended on the display.
There is no clear solution for this; however, we suggest a factory reset might fix the problem. Rollback to a previous version of Android may also fix the problem. As is often the case with these beta releases, this is a great example of why you should wait to install it for everyday use.
Apart from these, you will also see more known issues, which are also mentioned in the OnePlus 11 Android 14 beta changelog, and you can also see below.
Known Issues:
- Pressing the Home key is not responsive on the Lock screen camera page
- Locked screen doesn’t light up when receiving incoming calls
- While both SIM 1 and SIM 2 receive an incoming call successively, the call from SIM 2 won’t hang up
- Fingerprint may not be added again after being deleted
- The device cannot be powered off with the password verification page displaying abnormally in certain scenarios
- The preview interface freezes when taking a picture with the camera on WhatsApp
