How Many Software Updates Will POCO X6 Get?

POCO recently brought up its latest smartphone series, including the POCO X6 and X6 Pro, respectively. The brand introduced both models with numerous key features and specifications, and at the same time, if you had bought either of the devices, you would have wanted the device to stay as long as possible with all the security. So, the most prominent aspect that helps to keep smartphones for a longer period of time is the OS updates. Likewise, a similar question arises regarding the new POCO X6: whether the device will get how many OS updates? 

While buying a new smartphone, most of us first check the most prominent factor, which is OS updates. As the OS updates keep the smartphones refreshed by bringing new features and enhancements, we would want our smartphones to last as long as possible, making them worth the penny that’s spent on buying them. The same is true for the POCO X6 smartphone. Although Xiaomi is consistent in offering OS updates, the brand has offered that the POCO X6 will receive three major OS updates with four years of security patch updates, respectively. 

How Many Software Updates Will POCO X6 Get?

As the device is launched with Android 13-based MIUI 14, out of the box, Xiaomi states that the device is committed to three major OSs until Android 16, while the device is capable of receiving four years of security patch updates until 2028, respectively. 

Although Xiaomi has already released the new operating system, HyperOS, to its numerous devices that are eligible to receive it, However, the latest POCO X6 has been launched with Android 13-based MIUI 14, and it will still get the new HyperOS update, which will significantly replace its older MIUI Android skin.
