WhatsApp Introducing New Feature For Communities

WhatsApp is continuously taking steps towards convenient features for enhancing the experience and increasing the platform’s reach to users. Now Meta-owned WhatsApp is rolling out a new update by which it is providing a new feature for communities, so that the facilities of the community participants will increase. Let’s start to check out what’s interesting with the latest update.

WhatsApp Update 2.23.18.20

WhatsApp is grabbing its latest update with version 2.23.18.20, which is getting a new feature for community apps. The new feature provides the facility to the group admin by which he decides who will be able to add members to communities. The update is in its developing stage and is only available to some lucky beta testers. Interested ones can download this beta update through the Google Play Beta Program.

What’s New With This Update

The new update offers a unique community setting, allowing the right community admins to decide who can add members. Previously in the community only admins were able to add the new participants to the group. Due to this, if the group member wanted to add a new one, he had to go to the admin first, which led to a long process that had to be faced. But now with this new update, the company is offering a default option, which includes; “Everyone” and “Only community admins” for restricting this action to community admins, which provides them exclusive eligibility to directly add members.

This new feature is a significant enhancement for community admins. This gives them tremendous flexibility and control over their groups and other community participants. Now the members of the community get a layer of power, which allows them to add more participants in the community.

However, the update is in beta and available on the Google Play Beta Program. The lucky beta tester can now try this new and convenient feature. But it is highly expected that, as soon as possible, the brand will release this update to all in future updates.
