Ubisoft reveals the release date and other details for the 1.5 patch update of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Fans are undoubtedly heading into a crazy few weeks for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, with the enormous Dawn of Ragnarök expansion slated to debut on 10 March 2022.

But before its release, those still to go get on the Viking-shaped juggernaut will have the opportunity to do so as part of a free weekend for the title, commencing next Thursday, 24 February.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft has also shared the release date of the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla 1.5 patch update. This article shares that release date and analyzes other major aspects related to the 1.5 patch launch.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla 1.5 patch update release date

The next big update for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will officially drop on 22 February 2022 as Ubisoft has informed. It appears like this will be Valhalla’s last patch before the Dawn of Ragnarok expansion arrives on 10 March. As such, it’s expected that the update would also contain support for the DLC.

Analyzing the significance of the 1.5 patch release

Although Ubisoft hasn’t discussed the 1.5 patch much, it’ll set the way for Dawn of Ragnarök in some manner, with the thumbnail peek in the publisher’s recently revealed roadmap infographic suggesting it may even bring lava to the current map as a bit of a mythical tease.

Whatever 1.5.0 finally brings, fans can talk of another big event on Valhalla’s calendar in a little more detail, with Ubisoft announcing its aforesaid free trial weekend will run from 24 February – 28 February. Expect more details as the event comes nearer.

And next on the roadmap, Dawn of Ragnarök, Valhalla’s heavy mythological expansion, which will weigh in at a massive 40 hours when it opens on 10 March. 

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, of obviously, continues to go from leaps and bounds. Ubisoft recently stated the game has now grossed more than $1bn revenue, making it the first title in the publisher’s flagship franchise to do so. Following that achievement, free updates will extend through 2022, incorporating yet another new mode for the game.
