Apple is gearing up for the latest software update – iOS 17.3. For now, this software is in the beta stage. The update is not as large as the prior iOS 17.2 update in terms of new features, so it appears as if the testing period will not be as long. Also, it is expected that it will be launched by the end of January.

The reports indicate that Apple will release this update on 22nd January. If the company plans to launch the update on the 22nd or 23rd of January, then by this prospect, it is expected that it will release a candidate version of the iOS 17.3 update by the 15th of January.

Apple could also release iOS 17.3 on the week of the 29th, but here’s the catch: it will be the same week that Vision and the Vision Pro headset will be coming out. However, it is noticed that the brand does sometimes tie software release updates together since, as an entirely new operating system, visionOS is not similarly accompanied by any other updates.

The brand back in last year announced iOS 16.3 on 23 January 2023, and before that, in 2022, it released iOS 15.3 on January 26, so it is highly expected that the brand will launch iOS 17.3 on 22 January.

With this iOS 17.3, the brand is offering bundles of new features such as Stolen Device Protection, a feature which will prevent a thief that somehow gains access to both the user’s iPhone and their passcode from accessing confidential information. This feature will lock multiple features behind a Face ID scan, preventing a thief from viewing iCloud Keychain passwords and many more.

It is also offering a time-based delay before allowing Face ID, Find My, or Stolen Device Protection to be turned off. Apart from this, the Apple iOS 17.3 update also adds a Collaborative Apple Music Playlist; by this feature, the brand permits multiple users to contribute to one shared Apple Music Playlist.
