How Many Software Updates Will POCO X6 Neo 5G Get?

With that, certain brands have been upgrading their software update policies; however, such is not the case with Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO, as for a long time, the brand has been stuck with two software update- commitments. Well, POCO has just launched the new POCO X6 Neo with several features and specs, but most prominently, how many software updates will the new POCO X6 Neo get?

While purchasing a new phone, people usually check several key features and specifications, but they tend to miss out on checking the most prominent feature, the software update policy of that particular phone. Software updates are primarily essential, as they keep the device up-to-date by introducing several new features, changes, and enhancements while also keeping the phone safe and secure.

With that, POCO’s latest arrival the POCO X6 Neo does sports some good performing features, but the brand significantly misses out on providing long-term software updates, also as mentioned, majority of its devices are committed to get 2 software updates and similarly, the newest POCO X6 Neo is promised to receive 2 software updates and 4 years of security patch updates. 

POCO has launched the X6 Neo with the Android 13 operating system. Out of the box, the device will get two software updates until Android 15. It’s expected that POCO might receive an additional software update; however, it’s only promised to get two OS updates, and it’s not confirmed whether the X6 Neo will receive the third OS update. On the flip side, the POCO X6 Neo will receive 4 years of security patch updates until 2028, respectively.
