Google Is Rolling Out Some New Android Features To Simplify Your Workflows

Google always ensures that users get the features that can help them to simplify their tasks within their demanding workflows. With that, following the announcement, the company has begun rolling out some new Android updates and features, allowing you to get more and more work done in a single day on your Android smartphones, tablets, WearOS watches, and even in your Android Auto eligible cars, respectively. 

Stay focused while driving:

Using AI capabilities, Android Auto can automatically summarizes long conversations and texts within the group chats while you are busy driving, so that you can view all your incoming messages while also focusing on your driving. Simultaneously, you will also receive some relevant replies and actions based on your incoming messages. 

Get to hear AI-generated Image captions:

Google has newly-added Image captions in Lookout on Android devices, which allows you to significantly listen to the automatically generated AI descriptions of your pictures, any online images, and images that come along with messages. Company says that this feature is rolling out in the English language in the global market.

Discover places near you, get ratings and more:

With the new Enhanced screen reader support for Lens in Google Maps, now you will be able to easily discover all your nearest places and help you to identify them, including cafes, restaurants, and more. With this feature, by simply tapping on the Lens icon on the search bar and pointing your phone’s camera to a significant place, you will get all the information through the read aloud feature like the ratings, how to get to the place and more.

Suggest your feedback through Google Docs Markup:

Google has upgraded Google Docs markups, which now allows you to significantly add any of your desired annotations to Docs in your handwriting by simply using either your finger or the stylus pen. With that, you can also choose your favorite color and highlighters from the markup tools given to choose from. This feature helps you in providing feedback quickly, review or get through any document, making it easily customizable.

Switch among different devices and listen to music uninterrupted on Spotify:

Earlier, with the output switcher on the Android’s home screen you can easily be able to seamlessly switch among different devices, including your headphones, phone’s speaker, and TV, respectively, while listening to the music using YouTube Music. But now, a similar facility has arrived for Spotify as well. Well, while listening to music using Spotify, the output switcher will prompt all the devices that use Spotify Connect. 

Get your health-related and fitness data all at one place: 

The Fitbit application has been revamped, which will now allow you to view all data and statistics of your health straight from the app through Health Connect. Now, in the Fitbit app, by tapping the You tab, it will show you all the data regarding your connected apps, while in the Today tab, you will get to see data, including your workout sessions, steps count, total calories burnt, distance travelled through the Health Connect eligible apps all at one place.

Get to access several passes through Google Wallet Passes on WearOS:

Your Android WearOS smartwatches will now allow you to access your flight boarding passes, gym memberships, train tickets, and much more straight from your wrist through the Google Wallet passes support. Also, you can easily hide any specific pass that you don’t need anymore. 

Get public transit directions quickly on Google Maps on your WearOS: 

Another feature that arrives on the WearOS is the Public Transit directions on Google Maps. This feature will allow you to have a look at the departure time of your bus, then for easy navigation routes, it will also offer a compass that will guide you to your destination. 

Google Messages get the Chat with Gemini feature:

Google Messages is now receiving Gemini capabilities on your Android devices. The new Chat with Gemini option is being added, which will allow you to quickly draft your essential messages, it will offer you with certain quirky ideas, and have fun while having conversations without having to leave the Google Messages.
