How To Connect Roku To Wi-Fi Without A Remote?

Roku is a hardware digital media player device that allows users to stream their favourite content through several online platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and more. It gives you access to all the entertaining content from your favourite TV shows and web series to action-based, popular and high-demand movies, all in one place and from a single device.

Unlike other smart TVs, Roku smart TVs are known for focusing on offering simple ways to access and stream audio and video content on the TV. Roku TV allows users to access various popular online content streaming platforms, including YouTube, Amazon Prime, Netflix and many other online services that provide streaming of many exclusive channels ranging from interesting, fun and entertaining to action, thriller and weird.

Connecting Roku to wi-fi wi-fi without a Remote:

To connect Roku to Wi-Fi, first, you need to set up the Roku application on your phone. Be it your iPhone or Android device, it’s available on both devices for free. Once the Roku app is downloaded and installed on your device, connect your smartphone to the same Wi-Fi network as your Roku player.

  • Now open the Roku app.
  • Tap the Devices option at the bottom of the screen.
  • Then tap on your Roku device, or else you can click on the Remote option to access the remote via your device.
  • Your phone should now be connected to the Roku as a remote. If you don’t see your device, try to restart your phone or Roku and check again.
  • Now, on your Roku screen, using your device as a remote, open Settings.
  • Head to the Network. Next, “Set up connections”.
  • Select Wireless.
  • Now tap on OK. Next, let your Roku search for a new wi-fi wi-fi signal.
  • When it finds the one you desire, select the wi-fi wi-fi network and enter the password.
  • Tap Connect. Once you connect to the other network, your virtual remote gets disconnected. You will then need to connect your phone to a new network and reconnect it.
