Galaxy A55 5G’s Exynos 1480 Processor Details Are Officially Revealed

It’s been a while since Samsung introduced a new device within its Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A55 5G, with several impressive features and specifications, including its massive battery that can last up to 2 days, proficient cameras, astonishing display, and much more. Simultaneously, the phone comes with Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1480 chipset; however, the brand hasn’t said much about the chipset. With that, Samsung has officially revealed the details regarding the chipset. 

Samsung details every minute detail regarding its latest 4nm process technology-based chipset, the Exynos 1480. The new chipset brings several impressive features, including an overall improvement in power consumption for extended battery life. The Samsung Galaxy A55 is the first phone to ship with an Exynos 1480 processor. 

On the flip side, with a high-performing gaming experience, the new Exynos 1480 comes with the Xclipse 530 GPU, which is considered a highly advanced technology that offers 53% faster GPU performance as compared to its predecessor, the Exynos 1380. Along with that, other features like Variable Rate Shading (VRS) and Super Resolution have been upgraded a lot. 

In terms of the CPU architecture, the Exynos 1480 has 2x Cortex-A78 units with a clocking speed of 2.75GHz, along with 6x Cortex-A55 units with a clocking speed of 2.0GHz, respectively. On the flip side, the most significant upgrade among all the features is within the connectivity section. The connectivity support has been upgraded, which allows the 5G connectivity to run much smoother and faster, which is beneficial in downloading your desired content, and the Wi-Fi support has been upgraded and will now seamlessly support Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
