How irritating it feels when ads pop up between the videos, and the only way to rescue from ads is to buy the premium plan. YouTube is fully preventing its platform from users using free YouTube with ad blockers. Now, the brand is dropping support for each and every ad blocker; also, if the users are caught doing so, then it will blick it every single time.

A huge percentage of YouTube’s revenue comes from Ads, and because of these ad blockers, the company’s ad revenue shoots down. So this seems to be the reason behind this new change. However, many users are not willing to pay for a subscription, which is why they use ad blockers, and it creates difficulties for YouTube to generate high revenue.

YouTube has decided to stop tolerating freeloaders. As per recent reports, the company is broadening its efforts to crack down on ad blockers; by this, it is aiming to encourage users to allow ads or try YouTube Premium. The users on Reddit shared screenshots who are using ad blockers get the notification in which it is mentioned that;

Video player will be blocked after 3 videos- It looks like you may be using an ad blocker. Video playback will be blocked unless YouTube is allowed or the ad blocker is disabled.”

By this statement, it is clear that in the scenario where the users use ad blockers, then the video player will get blocked after 3 videos. And the video playback will be blocked until the company allows it, or the last option is to disable the ad blocker.

The use of ad blockers is against YouTube’s Terms of Service. So, the company has made various changes to its advertising strategy this year. Presently, in India, YouTube is offering 4 plans for the premium membership, which are mentioned below;

  • Rs 1,290 – Twelve months
  • Rs 399 – Three months
  • Rs 139 without auto-renewal – One month
  • Rs 129 with auto-renewal & free access for a month – One month

So, from now on, YouTube users who want to experience ad-free videos must have to pay for the premium member plan.
