WhatsApp, the instant messaging social media service, constantly introduces new features to its users. In the same context, after releasing the View Once feature for photos and videos in 2021, the company is here, extending the feature to voice messages as Voice View Once.
With the introduction of the View Once feature within voice messages, users will now be able to send a voice message that will vanish once it’s opened. In the meantime, Meta has shared this information through its official blog.
Once the users have sent a view once voice message, then they will not be able to view it again. Also, it significantly increases privacy, and even the recipients will not be able to take screenshots of any media sent through View once, or they will not be able to record the voice note sent through View once.

Users will now be able to use the View Once voice message feature that’s rolling out globally in the coming days, but before that, there are a few important points that you need to note before using View Once voice messages feature:
- Note that you are sending a view once a photo, video, or voice note to those whom you trust.
- It’s worth noting that there are other methods to save your View once voice message.
- If the recipient chooses to report your View via voice message, the voice message will be directed to WhatsApp.
- Even your voice message can easily be recorded if the recipient is using an Android smartphone with its native recorder.
- Once you have received the View once voice message, you will have to open it within 14 days of it being sent.
In order to send a voice message through the View Once feature, you will have to select the View Once icon each time, as View Once voice messages are denoted by a one-time icon and can be played once. In case you want to see whether the recipient has opened a View Once voice message, the recipient will be required to turn on their read receipts option.
