Google Messages is working on a new feature that prevents users from viewing messages from blocked contacts, even in group chats

Google Messages has always managed to offer a smooth, reliable, and useful interface to users by introducing more helpful features and upgrades within the application. Meanwhile, Google Messages is now moving on to a new work to introduce a new useful feature that will allow users to have a much more controlled user experience.

Google Messages has been working on introducing a new feature that will hide all messages from blocked contacts, even within group chats. This new feature will prevent users from viewing their messages from blocked contacts anywhere on the app.

In the latest Google Messages Beta version, a new feature has been spotted that significantly hides all messages from the blocked contacts, even in the group chats. This ensures that the user cannot see the blocked messages anywhere else on the application. However, currently, users are able to see the blocked messages in the group chats.

The blocked messages will be hidden from your side, but the blocked contacts will be able to see your messages through

With this newest Beta update within Google Messages, messages from blocked contacts will be hidden from the group chats as well. Well, now users will not be able to see their messages from blocked contacts in the group chats. In contrast, the blocked person will be able to see your messages within the group chat, which is weird, but that’s how the feature functions.

Moreover, when a blocked contact is added within the group chat, a pop-up appears on the screen that says, “You might not see all the messages because this conversation contains blocked contacts.” Meanwhile, it’s not yet confirmed when the feature will be rolled out widely to all users.
