  • The Pixel 8 owners are already facing the green line issue and now they are getting troubles in connecting to Android Auto.
  • Google stated that the Android Auto team needs bug reports to investigate further.

Android Auto is the driver’s smart driving companion, but a couple of days ago some of the Android Auto users started facing an issue which removed the crucial navigation bar, and now finally it has been fixed. But unfortunately, a new bug has arisen which is forcing some of the Pixel 8 owners from using Android Auto. The Pixel 8 owners are already facing the green line issue and now they are getting troubles in connecting to Android Auto.

Google already confirmed last week that the issue in Android Auto which was creating troubles and causing the navigation bar to disappear has now been resolved through a new update of the app. So the users who were affected by this issue should check the Play Store for upgrades to the Android Auto app as well as the Google app, and make sure the latter is on version v14.40.33 or higher.

But the fact is with one needed fix, another bug has arrived. Yes! Now a few Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro owners are reporting that they are having trouble connecting their device to Android Auto. The connection problem is either the phone appears simply unable to start Android Auto at all, or even leaves it frozen on the setup screens. However there are not many reports of this yet, but the Pixel 8 Pro worked without a hitch over an AAWireless dongle. This indicates that the reports we have seen are using a wired connection.

Google, even so, has jumped on the situation quite quickly. The company also had added the potential trouble to its work-in-progress list, and stated that the Android Auto team needs bug reports to investigate further. On the other side the company is also investigating connection issues with Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Android Auto, too.
