Xiaomi has already started testing for MIUI 15, and it seems that it is this close to releasing it as a stable version widely for all eligible devices. This time, the company is trying to fix all the known bugs and issues spotted in all the previous UIs of the company in MIUI 15.
Bug is a term that refers to an unexpected problem with software or hardware. Xiaomi must fix all the bugs because it is the reason behind unexpected trouble and affecting daily use. Finally, it seems that MIUI started to get a cleanse of the MIUI bugs in MIUI 13, and with MIUI 14, it stands as a nearly bugless operating system. After trying too hard, unfortunately, MIUI 14 still includes the biggest bug, which is the well-known bug of not getting notifications. Now, the company is fixing this bug in MIUI 15.
However, this bug is not a bug in a sense. In sequence for MIUI to power saving policy, MIUI automatically kills applications that have not been running in the background even for a while. In some scenarios, in place of closing it, it blocks the application from connecting to the internet to save data. As a result, whenever the users enter some applications, they get a notification that should have reached them a long time ago.
To prevent this bug, Xiaomi may apply a new power-saving policy in MIUI 15. The company may also add the necessary codes to the MIUI Security app with MIUI 15, so this application running in the background uses less data and power. If this comes true, then the users, whether they are on the Global or Chinese ROM, won’t risk not receiving notifications or calls.
In previous MIUI versions, the company could fix the issue of not receiving notifications and permitting the applications to run in the background. Despite that, this situation broke on its own in MIUI 12, and then it became smooth with MIUI 13. If the users are also expecting notification problems in MIUI 14, the users can try to solve the problem in MIUI.
The company is planning to introduce MIUI 15 along with Xiaomi 14. And it is expected that both will take the floor in the last days of October or maybe in November.
