Google has released Chrome 101 to the beta channel, after the release of stable Chrome 100. In comparison to the large milestone release, Chrome 101 appears to be a considerably smaller upgrade, consisting primarily of under-the-hood modifications aimed at developers.

Users can now add notes to stored passwords on Chrome 101
One of the few user-visible improvements in Chrome 101 is a new experiment for the browser’s built-in password manager on desktops. You’ll be able to add notes to stored passwords after enabling the chrome:/flags/#password-notes flag and restarting your browser. This allows you to record extra context or facts, such as when you changed the password when you started the account or responses to security questions.

Behind the scenes, further changes have been done. Chrome 101 has a setting that allows websites to forget previously connected USB devices. This provides a solution to the problem of extensive lists of obsolete, no longer relevant devices cluttering up the workflow.

There is also a new option for websites to specify the height of a window so that loading algorithms may be optimized. Developers may also benefit from new Priority Hints, which show which of a website’s resources a user’s browser is now prioritizing. They will have more flexibility over which parts to load and in what order.
Chrome 101 may be downloaded for your desktop from Google’s website. It’s available on the Play Store for Android, however if it hasn’t yet, you can download it from APKMirror.
